Expedition
Why is there trash in the Ocean?
Why does love take so long?
Why is my heart ever yearning?
For something so true and strong?
God's love's as deep as the deep!
God's carpenter's arms hold me tight.
God's spirit is in me revealing.
Why naught so long like the night?
Why do birds stop their singing?
Have we found what we're looking for?
Now is the grass ever greening?
Here was the long awaited fore!
For the time of our need.
Fore we go with the wind in our sails.
Fore no other to heed?
For His will to prevail!
Now we have peace with the Dayspring!
Here we chart through the chop.
This love, this stay, the Spring,
Our song, begins afresh from the top.

11th May '20 The Rise of Slime
Last night we watched another show on tv which discussed our oceans but what stayed in my mind was "the rise of slime". Now isn't this an alegory for our time? I am but "a jellyfish of organs stuck through with bones" to quote myself, an amoeba, not too developed. I think I see however, how the slime of society, spawn of the Devil, somebody I believe is real, has us all enveloped. If I go on a date, which had better be with my wife; what I've learned at the stage of my life at last, do I have in mind past dates, adventures of misadventures, when it is all about me? This sliminess of our culture God, Who existed always, asked the Woman and Man to regect, and see through the Snake's lie. Now the balance of Nature is upset, there is no equity between people, and the slimy rises to the top. Where, the truth is obscured, in our vast sea of knowledge, for political or financial gain, it has me on the hop. There's talk of perfect storms, how do walk the way of perfection, Who walked on water, who is the masteer of the waves? Learn the ways of the Master: Jesus saves!
